Midcoast Self-Storage caters to the Macksville & the Nambucca Heads region (The Midcoast). Our aim is to make moving into storage as easy as it can be. There are many reasons why you may need self-storage and we understand that these reasons can be because you have exciting times ahead or because you are going through challenging times. Either way we are here to assist. Once you contact us, we will look after everything else for you.

Midcoast Self Storage is located in the Macksville trading estate at 33 Yarrawonga Street, Macksville NSW. Midcoast Self Storage also operates a self-storage business in Nambucca Heads which trades under the name of Bucca Blue Storage which is located in the Nambucca Heads Industrial Estate at 1 Duke Street Nambucca Heads.


The two locations boast 300 units combined, which are made up of units that range from the size of a cupboard through to the size of a double car garage. When considering a size remember that you stack a self-storage unit like a game of tetras.
We also have facilities for cars, boats, caravans & motorbikes.


Storage units come in many different sizes. Our units are priced accordingly. It is best that you call us directly or email us so that we can discuss what size and price is appropriate.


Certain times of year are busier than others. The nature of our business is that customers are always moving in and out. If your size isn’t available today one may be scheduled to become available tomorrow. Its best that as soon as you are considering a storage unit that you contact us so that we can assign a unit to you or have you placed on usually a short waiting list.


Our sites have a combination of keypad entry and high security key access. We pride ourselves on knowing who has entered or storage facilities and exited our storage facilities. We check the facilities often by walking around them. Security patrols take place regularly and the facilities with keypads are also control by logging software.


The friendly staff are able to arrange the use of three (3) tonne enclosed truck which is available to customers when moving into Midcoast Self Storage & Blue Self Storage. Our staff can also refer you to local removalists that understand that that our customers are to be look after with price & quality of service. When it’s time for you to move out the truck is available for hire.


Both of our locations have boxes, tape & bubble wrap for sale. If you don’t have transport or a car large enough to transport boxes, we have a box delivery service which is available most days.


Reserving a storage unit is quite easy just give us a call or email us. Typically, we will reserve units for up to two (2) weeks. If you want a unit further in advance that’s also okay, just give us a call and we will work it out.

Bring a padlock from home or purchase one from us
An alternative contact person. Please ensure you have a alternative contacts name, address and telephone number so that you can complete the contract.


Payment of your first month’s rental & deposit can be done by credit card, direct debit or cash. If you intend to move in on the same day as you want to make payment, credit card or cash will need to be used because the direct debit will not clear before you take possession of the unit.


When you know what you move out date is likely to be let us know. We will require a minimum of 14 days’ notice. If you have to stick around for an extra day this is okay but we need to know when your moving out so that we can get the next person ready to move in.


The minimum stay is a month; the maximum stay is best explained by saying that some of our customers have been with us since we opened.


Our tenants consist of residential clients storing household goods, commercial clients storing business related goods, Government departments, vehicle storage catering for cars, boats, caravans, motorbikes and restoration projects.
